In the turbulent Europe prior to the French Revolution, the enigmatic figure of Cagliostro emerges, an Italian master of the occult capable of defying the laws of reality. With his prowess, he shakes the foundations of society and attracts an entourage of followers by revealing ancestral secrets guarded by occult societies. Lorenza Feliciani, a prisoner of his ambition, is used as a key player in his dark designs. In a desperate attempt to win her affection and control her, Cagliostro faces a fate even more terrifying than death itself: the condemnation of living in eternal solitude.

The Mage & The Mirror is a feature film written and directed by César González Álvarez. It is a story based on the novel and original screenplay by Chilean poet Vicente Huidobro. The project is currently in development. In 2023, it received top scores in the Original Screenplay and Literary Adaptation category of the Cultural Funds of the Ministry of Cultures, Arts, and Heritage of the Government of Chile.
