Within a wealthy Argentine family, a young visual artist decides to take up arms against social injustices. Through a risky activism, Nora Patrich leaves behind the inertia of her time to embark on a struggle that will endanger her family, her children, and her own life. Death, persecution, and exile will lead her to lose everything, only to later discover the power of art as a tool for transformation in a fight that is far from over.

Art of abscence is an documentary feature film written and directed by Mario Felipe de la Maza and César González Álvarez. It is currently in post-production and was produced in Canada, Argentina, and Chile. It stars Argentine artist Nora Patrich and is being developed based on several hours of filming and a substantial amount of family archive material.
