Dubois

(Dubois)

At the beginning of the 20th century, Chile is immersed in intense social changes. Emile Dubois, an enigmatic and fascinating French immigrant, is accused of violently murdering a group of wealthy foreign businessmen. Valparaíso is divided between those who fear him and those who consider him a folk hero. The cosmopolitan port becomes a theater of death, with its main act performed by this magnetic and attractive criminal.

Meanwhile, the humble agent Abel Moraga turns the hunt for the culprit into an obsession, unleashing his most reprehensible impulses as he empathizes with the social justice motives of the elusive killer. In an era filled with inequalities and unreliable scientific investigation methods, the only way to ensure that Emile Dubois is captured and executed is to become as dark as he is.
